This event is a long-awaited opportunity for Caragabal community members, past and present, to celebrate our belated centenary, the re-opening of our beloved Pub, as well our new History Signs and the refurbishment of the Memorial Hall. 

 

Floral/Plant Arrangements - Adults and children are invited to bring along a floral or plant arrangement in any format, reminiscent of the Caragabal Mini-Show.  Bring your entries along to the event at 3.30pm and they'll be judged by Caragabal personalities.

Photos and memories: The research for the history signs unearthed a treasure trove of Caragabal photos.  There will be a photographhic slideshow at the hall and the pub to take you back to the good old days.

 

Bed Races Exhibition - Several local groups will reinact the infamous Caragabal bed races.  It is intended as an exhibition, but already it looks like our passionate Caragabalians will be competing to settle old debts!

 

Tipple-ing our hats to events of the past: The age-old tradition of a tipple of sherry at the door of the Memorial Hall will be resurrected, much to the delight of nostalgic locals!  

 

Children's Entertainment: Kaleidoscope Face Painting will be working her magic at Caragabal Park for the afternoon.  There will also be supervised fun and games out the back of the pub later on. 

 

Dinner at the pub: The two course dinner at the pub will consist of a choice of curry or casserole, and a choice of sticky date or cheesecake for dessert... yum!  Kids will have their own options too.  Please note that this means the pub won't be offering their usual kitchen menu for dinner on the 13th.   

 

Live music: The Caragabal Pub has lined up the Peta Smith duo to entertain the crowd from 7pm.
